My mother is a graphic designer and my father is an architect. Art is incredibly important to them and from a young age, art classes and projects were a family centerpiece.
I’ve been making art my whole life, from wire sculptures and Japanese woodblock prints, to collages and oil paintings.
At Tufts University, I minored in studio art with a focus in oil painting.
Kata Hull taught my favorite class, Art as process, where I learned to embrace experimentation and creativity rather than pre-imagined end product.
I have a painting studio in the Mission where I spend a few evenings a week. Below is some of my recent work:
